Renault to make Captur as baby Evoque rival
Renault plans to develop the Captur concept it showed off at the Geneva motor show into two production models according to company insiders.
The main version will be a five door that will be aimed straight at Nissan’s popular new Juke, with which it will share a platform due to the Renault Nissan alliance.
The second model will be a three door, which is likely to feature several unique design features, similar to the Range Rover Evoque but on a smaller scale.
This three-door coupe would be a first in its class and could be a rival to the likes of the Citroen DS3 and the Mini Cooper – a segment in which Renault currently does not compete. Read the rest of this entry »
